This piece follows the original Dreamlab Magellan design, executed by Mongrel during their time working within that shop. The form is unmistakable, a compact, sculptural can with a wide, stable base, rounded chamber, and a clean, slightly bent neck that gives the piece a natural, dialed-in feel in hand.
The Carvel colorway is the standout feature here. In standard lighting, it reads as a deep, syrupy amber with warm red undertones flowing through the body. As the light shifts, that warmth begins to open up, revealing soft transitions into lighter tones, pulling blues and purples out of the glass that aren’t immediately visible at first glance. The result is a surface that feels alive, changing character depending on how and where it’s viewed.
A faceted teal side marble adds contrast and structure, breaking up the warmth with a cooler, more geometric element while also functioning as a grip point. The transitions throughout the piece, especially around the neck and joint, are clean and controlled, reinforcing the technical discipline behind the build.
Function stays true to the Magellan platform. The proportions and chamber size support a smooth, consistent pull, making it easy to use while still carrying strong visual presence.
